The body undergoes tremendous changes following pregnancy, childbirth and breast feeding.

In post pregnancy represents an incredible transformation in life but for some women, the changes that happen to their pre-pregnancy body as a consequence can be a source of upset and have a negative impact on their self-confidence. The main areas of change are frequently the breasts and the abdomen, and it’s these areas that the mummy-makeover procedure focuses on.

Every woman’s experience of pregnancy is unique and indeed post-pregnancy body changes will vary from woman to woman, but here are some common changes that many women experience:

1. Loose or sagging skin: After giving birth, the skin that stretched during pregnancy may not fully retract, resulting in loose or sagging skin. This is especially common in the abdominal area.

2. Diastasis recti: Diastasis recti is a separation of the abdominal muscles that can occur during pregnancy. It can lead to a bulging or protruding abdomen and may require surgical intervention to address it.

3. Changes in breast size and shape: Pregnancy and breastfeeding can cause the breasts to enlarge and become engorged. After breastfeeding, the breasts may lose volume and firmness, resulting in a different size and shape.

4. Stretch marks: Stretch marks are a common occurrence during pregnancy due to the stretching of the skin as the baby grows. They often appear on the abdomen, breasts, hips, and thighs. While they may fade over time, they may not completely disappear.

5. Changes in body shape: The body’s proportions may change after pregnancy, with some women experiencing wider hips, a thicker waist, or changes in the distribution of fat.

The mummy-makeover can be a transformative procedure that helps you to achieve your pre-pregnancy body and restore self-confidence ,but as with all surgery it should be carefully considered and not be taken lightly.

  Mr Abood was the surgeon who agreed to take me on, after months of rejections due to being deemed as too high risk.
However, Mr Abood made me feel reassured and confident going forward with the surgical procedure. I had several consultations that were never an inconvenience.
I had the most pleasant experience from start to finish and I’m over the moon with the end result. I will most certainly be using Mr Abood again

  Four weeks ago I had upper eyelid and brow lift surgery and I am absolutely delighted with the results already. Mr Abood and his team looked after me really well. So much so, I am planning to return and have my lower lids done, once my upper lids have completely healed. I attach a before and after photo of my eyes to show what a difference the surgery has made to my lids and why I am so pleased with the results.

  I can honestly say that Mr Abood is extremely personable. He made me feel at ease from my 1st meeting with him. He explained what to expect from my surgery very well.  I never felt rushed during appointments,  I really felt reasured when I asked questions and he knew I was worried about going to London for my breast argumentation and lower blasphemy . He took time to video call me before my operations to offer reassurance .
I can not thank him more for his kindness and professionalism.
All in all I am extremely happy with the results and would definitely recommend him . I have discussed another surgery with him for later in the year . I would not choose a different surgeon,  Mr Abood and his staff are fantastic.

  I had Breast Augmentation and Uplift with Dr Abood 31st July 2024 at Weymouth Street Hospital in London. This has been the easiest and most stress free procedure I've ever had. Dr Abood and Justine are so kind and lovely, I felt totally at ease and welcome from my first appointment. The aftercare is incredible, nothing is too much and I'm absolutely thrilled with my results so far. I cannot recommend Dr Abood enough. So thankful for everything!
