I can honestly say that Mr Abood is extremely personable. He made me feel at ease from my 1st meeting with him. He explained what to expect from my surgery very well. I never felt rushed during appointments, I really felt reasured when I asked questions and he knew I was worried about going to London for my breast argumentation and lower blasphemy . He took time to video call me before my operations to offer reassurance .
I can not thank him more for his kindness and professionalism.
All in all I am extremely happy with the results and would definitely recommend him . I have discussed another surgery with him for later in the year . I would not choose a different surgeon, Mr Abood and his staff are fantastic.

I had Breast Augmentation and Uplift with Dr Abood 31st July 2024 at Weymouth Street Hospital in London. This has been the easiest and most stress free procedure I've ever had. I had inverted nipple correction surgery on my right nipple with Dr Abood around 5 weeks ago.

I am really happy with the result of my inverted nipple correction, the nipple has healed really quickly with very minimal to no bruising and looks like it was never even inverted in the first place! I am very pleased with the result as I have always been so self conscious about having 1 inverted nipple.

What happens during breast lift surgery in London?

During a breast uplift procedure, you will be under general anaesthetic for around one to two hours. This will depend on how complex the surgery is and what results you are looking to achieve. The surgery is also usually a day case, which means you should be able to go home that day.

There are different ways to do a breast lift procedure. Typically, a breast uplift involves cutting around the areola and then down towards the crease of your breast.

Another possible method is to cut around your areola, down to your breast crease and then across your breast crease. This will make an anchor shape. Mr Abood will discuss which option will be best for you during your consultation.

As part of the breast lift, your surgeon will remove excess skin and breast tissue to help reshape your breasts and tighten them. The nipples will also move to a higher position and the size of the areola can also be made smaller to suit your reshaped breasts.

Some patients decide to have a breast augmentation (breast enlargement) as part of their breast uplift surgery. This will depend on the type of results you are looking for and the current position of your breasts. You can discuss this with your surgeon before moving forward.

Breast lift surgery on its own is not designed to give you a larger breast size. This is why some patients decide to have a breast lift combined with a breast augmentation.

Breast implants come in different shapes and sizes. You will be able to look at the different types of breast implants at your consultation. This will give you an idea of how they will look and feel, and what size you might want to go for to achieve your desired result.

What is breast lift recovery like?

Following your breast lift surgery, Mr Abood will talk you through how the operation went and tips to take care of your new breasts. You will only leave the hospital once our team has assessed you. This ensures that you are given enough time to recover and are comfortable enough to return home.

You will set up a one week follow-up appointment so that Mr Abood can check up on your progress and you can ask any questions or concerns you might have. You can also contact Mr Abood and his team at any point during your recovery to seek advice or support.

Straight after your breast lift, you will feel slightly tender and swollen. This is normal following surgery and the team will provide you with pain relief to help manage this. The swelling should go down within the first four weeks of surgery. However, it can take longer for the swelling to completely subside.

We advise you to take it easy while your body is healing from breast lift surgery. The team will provide guidance on how to take care of your wounds and other things such as when you can start showering and how much time you will need to take off work.

For the first two weeks after surgery, you should only do low level activity. Only increasing this after your body feels comfortable to do so. You will need to wear a post-surgical bra following your operation to aid recovery.

Straight after your surgery, you will see red scars, however over the next 12 months, they will begin to fade to a light pink colour.
